Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her druidic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
