Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Ernest was born with his father's beautiful face. He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister
