Description: A 3'1" northern woman, she wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. Her hair is cut close to her head. Her brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Merla was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When Merla reached her early adolescence her Halfling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: A plain young-adult man, he wears dark leathers with embroidery. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy black hair. His eyes are hazel and catlike.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Miner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Miner work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a Miner soon after.

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what she was had she not made sure her armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit she wears a black collared shirt and green skirt. She accessorizes with a brown scarf around the waist and a strap diagonally across her shirt. Her bronze crest is long and unkept. Her red eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: Her skin has the orange glow of too much sun. She is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. Her blonde hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: Cora wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Warrior, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is an amazing painter.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break.
