History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mara grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mara. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and seeks redemption

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her psionic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she has money and likes to spend it

Description: Standing 4'9", this woman wears a shirt that is too small, which lets her gut show, with a ratty black coat over it. Her black hair is heavily combed to the right. She is baby faced.

Personality: She acts crazy and hedonistic. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying west to reunite her family. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. The war was a terrible time for her, and Phann does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
