Personality: He is a Butcher first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Alex hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Alex was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: Expand his business; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

Description: He has the majority of his body covered in plate. He is portly but not overly obese. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy golden hair. His eyes are green and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Berrian will drive conversation. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Marshal hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: She is a pot bellied eastern woman with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. She is dressed in an above average manner. Her long brown hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. This black eyed easterner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Jezebeth was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. He wears a broad hat to hide his balding. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines hazel.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Uthemar was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Baker. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear
