History: Ulla lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and doesn't want to be a unemployed and was forced into it by her family

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Painter mother left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He's in love; and he would like to get married and retire
