History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: Born in the north to a Tailor, Carlin learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 10 years.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Tyna hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered dancing. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Tyna was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and many brigands want her driven away
