Personality: Qualen speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Qualen was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has worked as a Roofer like his father before him.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is an amazing painter.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Tomi embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. After a long history of fighting, Tomi and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Miner and was forced into it by his family.

Description: He is a pot bellied northern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty grey coat over it. His hair, while still mostly chestnut, has prominent grey streaks. He has gleaming, smiling brown eyes.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Baern has worked very hard to control his curse. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and wants to work out more often

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Crown-heir. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush.
