History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. Her brown hair is unkempt and raggedy. Her hazel unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She found a children's book about a Elf Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. During her travels, Malquis and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Malquis discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Malquis fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He became a Mason soon after.

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. His red hair has been sun bleached extensively. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: A woman of a pale complexion, she wears a large hat to cast shadows over her face and wears ponchos to better hide her body. She wears her blue hair down. She is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Rieta's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Rieta alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Rieta was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it
