History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She worked as a nervous Bather and found it very stressful. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Nim was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Miner but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Adrie grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Adrie. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Chay was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Chay decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Knight kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
