History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Raam alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Soapmaker they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Fisher, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
