History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ilanis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ilanis. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Jaxi never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Shadow never married again.
