Description: This man very much looks the part of a Miner. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized ruby on his right hand. His red hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His half smiles and gray eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bertram is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Miner responsibilities is difficult; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

History: He was born in a small desert village. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Halfling people; and halfling compassion

Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Veloptima was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Veloptima has worked very hard to control her curse. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Description: This woman stands a little under 4'7" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She wears a black wide-brimmed hat and black clothes. She sports a flattop hair cut. She has gleaming, smiling silver eyes.

Personality: Nemeia wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Commoner, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Banker but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Nemeia grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nemeia. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.
