When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in the south to a Barrister, Murgen learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her family was turned out during the war.
