History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Quarethon has worked very hard to control his curse. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Nelkin is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Nelkin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He found a children's book about a Halfling Barbarian who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mayor.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. Symma is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Gifted from a young age, Symma studied abroad. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and wants to raise her children well
