Personality: He is a Mason first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing music.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He now owns his own business.

History: Tordrid was born the youngest of three triplets. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and to protect his home

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Barendd was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He worked as a nervous Roofer and found it very stressful. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
