Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Aust enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Aust fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Kadana speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Kadana was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A freak accident while working with her Tanner father left her crippled. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered south to less war torn lands. She has never given up on her painting dream.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her religion dominates her actions
