History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Verna was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Gerald lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Gardener. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Gardener.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he's in love

Description: This man is well dressed, constantly wearing a red suit, yellow shirt, and brown tie. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized opal on his right hand. His auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His violet eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hamil embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She is quiet and unassuming. She ignores others and carries on with her job unassumingly. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: Seeks redemption.
