River grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did River. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.

Personality: Nurkara is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with her old comrades. She has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing writing.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Tanner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Tanner work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She tends to her Tanner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
