History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. A true patriot, Melissa would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Melissa hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Her parents enrolled her in a Monk school at a young age so that she could practice her necromantic talents. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She considers herself the perfect lady. She makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by giants. Vola was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: Many giants want her driven away; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. Nalaed was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the north; and her religion dominates her actions
