Description: A pudgy man standing about 4'0" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He is wearing colorful clothing, dressed as a Ruler. His white hair is lengthy. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Born in the south to a Ruler, Rurik learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: This woman tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look, and sports empty pouches on her belt. Her purple hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a top hat. Her eyes are red and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Armara is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born into a rich family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Armara fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Description: This dark-skinned female wears long strands of amber and short blue dresses (or suits) accompanied by the proper stockings and shoes, with gloves of varying lengths. She is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. She wears her black hair down. Her eyes are hazel and beady.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with singing. She constantly tries to fill her life with singing. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She is greedy; and money/treasure

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. She is an amazing painter.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it; and a deep hatred of illithids
