His white fur is slicked back into a classic pompadour. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: River hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Barrister hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, River never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Her martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She moved out west to avoid the crime she committed. She was granted martial powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions.
