Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. The war was a terrible time for him, and Howard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Howard hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Roofer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Roofer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Roofer for hire.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and sabotage a competitor

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Description: He wears grey robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a quarterstaff, but if one is not available he will default to his crossbow. He is portly but not overly obese. His hair is long and black with streaks of golden, and is pulled back with small grey clips. His beard is golden, braided, and well cared for. His green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: Erias is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Beggar mother left him crippled. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he feels kind of lost in life

Description: She wears silk and lounges about seductively. She has relatively light skin and is very physically imposing due to her abundance of muscles. She has a very tight haircut. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Ilga was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Ilga began to lead the lost caravan. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the south; and a deep hatred of dire rats
