Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Thorin was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and his religion dominates his actions

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Navigator they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Guard, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and to unite with her brother
