He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Personality: He exudes charisma. He is a tour de force of persuasion. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Ombul lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was a Carpenter, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger sister on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and doesn't want to be a knight and was forced into it by his family

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. After coming to the age of reason, River took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. River was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and someone believes her a fraud
