History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Barendd was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Barendd's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He tends to his Shoemaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Rurik was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Rurik was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Tanner. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
