History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She wants revenge against dire rats; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She has worked as a Jeweler like her father before her.

Description: An older man who wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty pastel coat over it, he is not a threatening figure. His red fur is smooth and relatively long. His eyes are amber and catlike.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. River was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: The child of a Knight, who enjoyed hunting, Gubu was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Animal Trainer for the past few years.
