History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. At some point he was captured by giants and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and many giants want him driven away

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He tends to his Fletcher job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
