History: Balam was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Courier. She's also a talented Engraver, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Courier responsibilities is difficult; and sabotage a competitor

History: He got into the Servant business at a young age. A gifted student he started as a Mason, but he got bored and became a Servant. He has worked as a Servant like his mother before him.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
