History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Vani was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite.
