Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Grom was born the youngest of three triplets. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to illithids.
