History: Brakka hails from a village terrorized by giants. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

History: Gruk hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His parents enrolled him in a Paladin school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
