Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Gale was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. During her travels, Gale and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Gale discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Gale fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

She found a children's book about a Gnome Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. Through the years after Lia was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Lia's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Lia and her spouse have recently divorced.
