History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. History: Lidda was born with her father's beautiful face. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Lidda grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Lidda. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
