Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She was born in the north. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Layabout. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Layabout for hire.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
