History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: Gifted from a young age, Anthony studied abroad. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Anthony alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

She carries with her a set of flails on her belt, each one with a opal on the hilt. Her white hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Architect arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mayor responsibilities is difficult; and wants to raise his children well
