His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Rurik is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rurik was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born into a rich family. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Orc conditions. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: Ubada hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and many brigands want her driven away
