History: Mantus lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Mantus was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Dyer. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He tends to his Dyer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Shamash was born with his father's beautiful face. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has achieved small success as a Bookbinder.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. After a long history of fighting, Skamos and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge; and he wants revenge against goblins
