Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Thoradin is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He tends to his Dilettante job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Description: 6'6" and lanky with angular features, he is an attractive figure. He tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. His copper crest is thinning but still full. He has red eyes and a black hat with a brown feather.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: Rivaan hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: He is a husky man, who wears baggy grey pantaloons and a tan scarf. His hair is long and golden with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small grey clips. His beard is blonde, braided, and well cared for. His violet eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. The war was a terrible time for him, and Oskar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Oskar was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He is a Doppelganger in disguise. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: This western woman is abnormally tall. She wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). Her whole body is exceptionally muscular. Her silver hair is greasy and uncared for. Her blue eyes peer out from beneath her feathered tan hat.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Stableman born in the past three hundred years. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. When Nissa reached her early adolescence her Gnome mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
