History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing singing.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature glaive.
