History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Hlin and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Roger isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Junk Dealer. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Gnomes. His skin is light but he possesses many brown ritualistic tattoos. He wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. He has done his best to style his black hair to look like a famous performer. His blue eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
