In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Quelenna alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying east to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He is an amazing painter.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Shepherd arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable.

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. After a long history of fighting, Mella and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she loathes her own lifestyle
