History: Marigold was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Through the years after Marigold was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Marigold's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. He found a children's book about a Tabaxi Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
