History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Her red hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: She was born in a small plains village. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Ranala took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up dagger and armor she uses now. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Jabbie abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he is greedy

Personality: She is fixated on the number 20. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. The occasional robbery is her preferred attention getting crime, but she mainly uses her means for meeting her own perverse desires.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: Hadwisa was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Beggar for hire.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants to open a new tavern
