History: Jarana was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of her physical features obscured. Her crest is red and curly. Her eyes are gold and beady.

Personality: She hates illithids. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dragonborn conditions. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Modean abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She takes great joy in being the best Layabout in town.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She became a Layabout soon after.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
