Description: She is an average looking southern female in her early mid-life. She wears a brown vest with golden trim over her white shirt. Her yellow leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and her brown boots flare out at the collars. Her black hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. Her violet eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: Joan hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her poetry career. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Some 4 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Joan never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Bather. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Expand her business.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing painting.

History: She was born in the south. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: Philomena is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the west; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
