History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Painter arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Description: This younger middle-aged man typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep violet leather and dull white iron scale mail, and a wedding ring on his right hand. He has wavy white hair. His green eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker violet hat.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Hugh is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Hugh was born with his mother's beautiful face. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His first spouse was a Guard, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to reunite with his absent mother

Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He has a large brown mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his black robe. He has moderate length auburn hair. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and money/treasure
