Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mason. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Mason for the past few years.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and to prove her worth to the world

History: He got into the Guard business at a young age. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She has all her life been fascinated with painting.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her druidic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world.
