History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the south. In her 12th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Findex alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

A freak accident while working with her Barrister father left her crippled. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Merla embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
