History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He worked as a nervous Navigator and found it very stressful. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His first spouse was a Barkeep, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Rieta's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. Rieta is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Rieta was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
